Convocation (Part Tros)

Once again, the joyous occasion upon my completion of my education in NIE. Why do I have two convo right? The first one was NIE Investiture where I received my diploma in teaching. Im aware of an advance diploma in teaching but degree, not so sure of. This time round was NTU convo where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree.

Many thanks to all who have influenced us in one way or another throughout this whole journey. For the great friends Ive gained, the memories shall I hold dear to. The moment is here. To strive forward and be the best that we can be.

Im sure going to miss every single time spent; be it the journey to school by train and 199/179, walking down the corridors of NIE, being in the tutorial rooms where we had our share of slacking and antagonising moments with our tutors and the whole 4 years of it all.

Thank you for those moment.

Given that we're happy to be here,
Remember what we're gaining and we're losing.
Admittedly, the moment is confusing,
Demanding sad farewells and well-earned cheer.
Underneath the moment is the motion,
A silent passage out to open sea,
Taking place regardless what may be
In front of us, a ritual commotion.
Of what we are, but little will remain,
Nor will we ever come this way again.

Family-iar.

The recent death of a schoolmate really got me pondering on life for a while. Time is such a luxury these days. Everyday busy, busy, busy. Would there be more time if it were 8 days, 25 hours, 61 minutes? I wonder. Life's too short to worry, be sad and waste it away. Precious, exactly.

Manage to spend time over the weekend with the family at dad's NHG Family Day. Family boding is by far important. Family is by far first prioroty. I'm thankful to be surround with a loving familiarity. They can be difficult, they can be a pain, no doubt about that. But at the end of the day, its them you come home to. Love them, cherish them till the end of time. :')

Inner Peace

Everyday in life we face all sorts of traffic, be it an angry boss, the pile of work or maintaining relationships with the people around you. You face disease, frustration, difficulties and temptations of all sorts. Sometimes, you just got take a breather and step to regain your inner peace.

One thing I learn is that you cant run away cause it will always be there. Say you lost a dear relative or going through a difficult relationship. Its sad and frustrating, but there is a difference between feeling the sadness of the moment and being overcome by it. Every moment has its qualities. Winter will never be as joyful as spring or summer. But it's an important moment of introspection, of self-examination. It is a necessary rest for nature to build up the needed energies to flourish again. It has its own melancholic beauty.

So whenever you feeling down with all the misery built up in you, just remember, seek solace in god and learn to relax. The troubled mind is blind and unpleasant. The peaceful and quiet mind allows you to see things more clearly and to make wiser decisions.

Inner peace. (Po, Kung Fu Panda, 2011)

Embarking On A New Journey

A quick post for tonight. This is going to be a melancholic entry.
Malam-malam feeling-feeling beb.
Alhamdulillah. Today was our Teachers' Investiture ceremony at NTU Nanyang Auditorium. Today truly marks the start of a new future of a much hopeful full-filling career. As I was sitting in the audi, my mind flashbacked to all the time spent in school with my friends and lecturers whom I've come to cherish and love.

Indeed, it was a proud moment for me to be there. I'm thankful for my supportive parents who in their own way showed that they cared and believed in me. (Sheds a tear!) In this moment in time, this is definitely where I want to be. I will strive my best to be the best teacher bringing our the BEST in my student and make our mummies and daddies proud. Insyaallah.

May the road ahead be a full-filling and a blessing for all of us. Just a simple reminder for all educators embarking on this journey from Munsyi Abdullah, credits from Shafizah Wydiana. :)

Pesanan Munsyi Abdullah Akan Pekerjaan Guru

Xin chào, Ho Chi Minh City: Day 3 and home after!

Day 3 of Ho Chi Minh City was of Mekong Delta, fruit tasting, honey during the day. Spa at night with me doing manicure and have purple nails.

Going home the next day was a bittersweet moment reminiscing the entire trip. Packing all the stuff in my bag and obviously, me being the I-must-buy-stuff-for-relatives-when-Im-on-trip have the HEAVIEST bag home weighing nearly 11kg! Beg tak koyak pun nasib.

I am happy girl. To more trips in the future! Looking forward to the graduation trip with the rest of the classmates and a cousin trip (hopefully) to Thailand at the end of the year. (:
