Ni Hao! (Day 1 & 2)

Finally a new post! Long overdued. Well, I still want to post this cause its part of my memories that I want to keep and look back on one day. Every pretty things aka Cosa Bonita (in spanish) are worth cherishing. :)

SOOOOO, last December, 8-15 Dec, was my graduation trip with the NIE babes. Our long-awaited trip after 4 years of hard work and pain (seriously painful) to the land where all our products come from (hurhur), CHINA, Beijing! We went on a trip with Hamidah Travel with a few other makciks and pakciks. But they were load of fun. So it was not too bad.

From our research, we knew that China was going to be cold, but yar, being Singaporeans who are under the hot sun 24/7, we didn't know what to expect. Looking all smiles ready to board the plane at 11.50pm. Zzzz. Btw, Uniqlo is definitely the best place to get your winter wear; comfy, fashionable and most importantly cheap! Fan of Uniqlo!

Family sent us off at Changi Airport. Faezah was my plane buddy with the rest of the ladies seated a row behind us. As soon as we landed around 7am, it was MAD FREEZING! Probaby -8 degrees celcius! The Beijing Airport fairly looks like our terminal 3. Kinda remind me of KLIA. After being bundled up in our long johns, sweaters and whatnots, we proceed on to our CHINA ADVENTURE DAY 1!

Made our way to the Summer Palace where is was absolutely breathtaking. The winter season just began in China, so you can see the thin layer of ice forming on the lake but underneath the thin layer, you can see the plants moving pushed by the slight current. Seeing the pagoda in a near distance, the song played the ochestra by the lake, the tree branches swaying lightly blown by the ABSOLUTELY FREAKING COLD wind. Haha. Baru sedap-sedap feeling karangan deskriptif. Tapi yer, memang sejuk nakmapz! Following after, we went to Dr Tea, a tea house where there are 100 and 1 types of tea and soon night fell, had dinner and proceed to our hotel. Love the shot of the dear babes. See how cold it was! Our faces were frozen!

Our hotel for the next 7 days was AWESOME. Took the triple sharing room with 'Ain and Shafizah. While Sarah and Faezah took the twin sharing room. Our triple room had a freaking hall lah seh dengan sofa semua! 2 tvs and a huge bathroom! Look at Shafizah doing a stunt (!!) on Sarah's bed when we went to check out their room. LOL.

CHINA ADVENTURE DAY 2! Was of Tinanmen Square, Forbidden City, Knife Shop (dont know why the heck would tourists want to buy knifes on a holiday overseas?!), Massage Place, Silk Shop (you can see the white husk in the tampi. Those are the cocoon shells. Apparently can be used as cotton wool to wash your face. Eww?), the Beijing Olympic place where we saw the BirdNest and The WaterCube, and finally dinner at night at one of the better restaurant in Beijing. Not as cold as the day before. Maybe cause we got used to it? Cheh, action plak.

Come night time, since it was only around 8pm, we went to the nearby supermaket, Lotte Mart, where we bought loads of foodies to much on as we chillax in our a-w-e-s-o-m-e hall. Chanced upon this instant Lipton milk tea where you just need to pour hot water and add in nata de coco (!!) with the powder sachet given and there you have, THE BEST MILK TEA in a cool cup ever! It was so good that we/I (haha!!) bought LOADS MORE a few days later. Just wait for the picture and count how many more we bought in the next post!

Setosa (2)- MEMA

Maritime Experience Museum & Aquarium! Tons of fun. Its a permanent exhibition on the voyage of the infamous Admiral Zheng He, or more known to me as Laksamana Cheng Ho according to the Malay Annals, where he travelled all around Asia and many other parts of the world. Simply amazing!

The museums these days are simply awesome, catering to the young and old with loads of interactive activities and information. Well, even the old are all out and excited to do the activities such as collecting the chops for the passport through the whole museum journey and colouring the wayang kulit puppet. *coughs coughs*

Lots of boat stories and information. Amazing story of how Zheng He commanded a huge fleet of armada during war times. Even on myths and legends all around Asia.

Moreover, to enter the exhibition it only cost $13, or $6 with RWS Card. Cheap or what! Definitely worth the interesting experience.

Enjoyed the day thoroughly with my one and only mister. To more, Sentosa loving dates! :)

Sentosa Loving (1)

Dusting off dust on this blog. *Sneeze!*
Been a while. Last post was what, Ramadhan foodie and only 1(?!) adventure. So much for wanting to blog about foodie adventure. Good job Khai. Tsk.

So something more recent update. Sentosa loving. I love Sentosa and so does the BF. I tell you, we can totally be residents of Sentosa for we go there almost every week? ALMOST. That's how much we love it there.

Recently, it was the Spooktacular event at Sentosa where there were a total of 6 haunted trails you can go on and we went on 3, Legendary Courts of Hell- Images of Singapore, Deadly Lesson- Nature Trail and Twisted Fantasy- Merlion. Damn worth it! A night where ghouls and souls roam free. Muahaha. *Evil laughter*

Went with my Bukit Panjang friends, Nadhirah and Elly with our partners. Fun bunch.

The horror of Asian folklore and myth is terror-filled for any sane person could ever handle.

Afraid of the dark? You never know what is lurking behind you or just around the corner.

Spine-chilling encounters will leave you running for your life.

You will be driven to the brink of insanity.

Beware.

You have been warned.

It was fun! Lots of laughters and scream. A night of haunted trails, light sticks and pop-pop. Looking forward to the next outing with these peeps. :)
